The Exclamation Point

I think that the exclamation point is my least favorite punctuation mark. I think it is by far the most useless bit there is. I feel like there are very few good writers that use it (Johnathan Safran Foer does but he is more than unconventional). It seems like, unless you really know what you are doing, the exclamation point is meant for people who don´t know the english language well enough to use forceful words instead of punctuation (these are the same people that capitalize everything in their emails, when they do that all I hear is screaming).
